Remembering Mr. Johnny, a shining star in our store family! His infectious laughter and unwavering dedication inspired us all. With his straightforward approach, he'd share his vision and make it happen. His love for his family shone bright - boasting about his kids, wife, and grandkids with beaming pride. Though he's no longer with us, his impact lives on, a testament to the power of kindness and compassion. We miss him dearly, but his legacy ignites us to spread joy and positivity!

I remember when I first started to come over and how Marcel and Julian would call you “pop”. I asked you a question but was confused on what I should call you. So I asked and you responded with “pop”. So every time I came over it just felt like I was staying with my own grandparents in a way and I wanted to thank you for treating me no different than family. 

This picture reflects the last time we were together in person.   What a pleasant surprise that was.  We were  3000 miles apart and managed to stay in touch and keep up with each other.   I’m very impressed with your military career!   You were a true sailor thru and thru.  That’s not all you did well.  You were a great husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.  It speaks bonds at how you took care of your mother and your sister in there time of need.  God bless you and Carmen.   I’ve met your two sons mostly on the phone.   Anther great job.  Two very humble loving young men along with their wives and children.  It is hard to lose a loved one.  The good memories will be the thing that helps you all get through.  God bless you all, love from the Mangone family in the desert of Nevada.

I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I know that he went through a lot in the past several months. He is at peace now. I hope memories of him will  bring you peace. 


He was a great man and a wonderful father and will be in my heart and always and forever be missed, he was my hero and friend . I love you Dad and I know you can hear me.

It was a pleasure knowing you for the short time that I did I can tell how great and humble of a person you were Fly high Master Chief 🙏

My condolences to all Master Chief's family and friends. 
I really appreciate MACM Long taking this Mustang under his wing and guiding me along as to getting along with the Chief's Mess.
2 memories really stick in my mind. First we both had duty the day of our invasion of Iraq.
The second was at Officers' Call one morning at Pre-Comm Unit.  I was Senior  Operations Department.  He walked in after me and sat down at the table.  Looking over he said "Hi John, how are you doing?" The Executive Officer went ballistic. "Master Chief, you don't call my Officers by first name. It is either Ensign Lynch or Mr Lynch. He looked over to me with a twinkle in his eye and winked. 
He really made me feel comfortable. 

I served with Master Chief Long on the USS Hue City (CG-66). He was a great mentor and always looked out for the best interests of the crew. 
He will be missed by many. 
Fair winds Master Chief, your crew has the watch.
