Neal lived and maintained the family farm located in the Pungo section of the city.
He is survived by his mother and father, Peggy and Shelby Nelson; his brother, Michael Nelson of Virginia Beach; and his sister, Joanna Mezza of Hiram, GA. Neal was blessed with 4 children, Justin Lambert, Nikki Nelson, Neal Nelson, Jr. and Kolby Snow. He is also survived by a host of other loving family members and his beloved dog and constant companion, Kylie.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, August 9, 2013 at Charity United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert J. Robertson, III, officiating.
