Left to cherish his memory are his loving and caring wife of 46 years, Mila Castillo Rivera; 3 sons, Joseph Francis and wife Denise, John Michael and wife Rosie and James Mathew; grandchildren, Kayla, Mason, John Michael, Andessa and Adonus Maximus. All throughout his life, he was surrounded by family members and friends. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Gregorio Rivera and Oliva Martin. The family will receive friends from 5 – 9 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2011 with a wake service starting at 7:30 PM in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd in Virginia Beach, 23462. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd., on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11:00 am
