CDR Kenneth R. Karr U.S. Navy (Ret.) passed away peacefully April 27, 2011.
CDR Karr was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 22, 1923. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy retiring after 29 years of service. After his retirement he sold G.P.M. life insurance for a number of years. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory is: a daughter, Patricia K. Taylor and husband Ronald; two grandchildren, Anna E. Sprague and Willard Sprague and wife Tina; and three great-grandchildren: Dean, Nina, and Luke Sprague. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Anna Karr and a daughter, Judith Osborne.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:30 pm, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
