Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James K. Culbertson; parents Michael R. and Barbara B. Meiggs; sister Christie M. Verebely and husband Paul, and paternal grandfather Claude I. Meiggs, Sr. all of Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded by her paternal grandmother, Virginia Meiggs and her maternal grandparents, Ina and Cecil Bonniville.
At home, with her husband, James and her mother holding her hand, Kimberly left this world to join her Savior Jesus on January 18, 2011. We were all blessed to have her in our lives. God needed her and called her to join the Angels in Heaven. Her grandmother, Virginia Meiggs, was likely the first to greet her.
Kimberly was loved by her family and friends. Kimberly was blessed to meet and marry her childhood sweetheart, James. James and Kimberly shared fifteen years of love and memories that will live on forever. Their special love was like a fairy tale that was heart-warming and inspirational to all who knew them. She cherished their chocolate lab Molly Brown.
A lifelong resident of Pungo, Kimberly attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. While at Oak Grove, Kimberly found joy singing and teaching youth choir. Kimberly truly loved her church family.
Kimberly’s outer beauty as well as her inner beauty was known to all. Kimberly’s gentle spirit touched so many. She always held concern for others over her own concerns. She loved helping the elderly and wanted to make a difference in their lives.
Thank you to Mia Shelhorse, her best friend for always being there for her. Thanks to all for the beautiful cards, gifts, and most importantly prayers that brightened her days.
