

Leiha Lovanna McTyeire, born on March 31, 1988, in Queens, New York, passed away on September 16, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 37. Her vibrant spirit and love for life touched all who knew her.
She grew up in Virginia Beach, attending Salem Elementary School, Larkspur Middle School, and graduated from Green Run High School.
Leiha dedicated much of her life to caring for others and was a former Certified Nursing Assistant and a teacher's assistant. Her nurturing nature and compassionate heart left a lasting impact on her colleagues and those she served.
Leiha had a passion for shopping and delighted in finding a great sale. She enjoyed spending her free time at the movies, and the beach was her sanctuary, where she found peace and joy. Leiha also took great interest in skin and hair care, always eager to learn and share beauty tips with friends and family.
She is survived by her loving parents, Kenneth L. McTyeire and Sharon McTyeire, and her cherished son, Leiland Cooper. Leiha's memory will live on through her three devoted brothers, Kareem Harris, Kenneth C. McTyeire, and Lathan McTyeire, as well as her dear niece, Kira Harris, and nephew, KJ Harris, Jr.
Leiha's warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
