You and your family have our condolence. Marian was a lovely lady, always pleasant and smiling. Sorry we did not make it to the funeral home, we had doctor appointments at the same time. We will continue playing for you and for Marian.

It has been a little over a month since you passed away and a very sad Thanksgiving and Christmas season just ended. It doesn't get easier but it does get easier to manage. I am able to focus on all of the happy memories. You were such a devoted mother and wanted nothing but the best for your family. You added love and warmth to any environment that you were in. Between you and Dad I learned so many of life's lessons. I will always cherish the many happy times and signs of your love and devotion. Thank you for everything that you did and continue to do for me, for Tom, and for Dad. Your love will always be with us, and we are better people for having you in our lives. Love you, Mom!

              There is so much I want to say to you, just haven't been able to find the right words to express how much I love and miss you, there are so many memories I have of you to keep me going, your strength, and your extreme love for our family, I could not have asked for a better Mother, teacher and friend than you. Dad is doing as well as can be expected right now, that man loves you with all his heart and soul, and I am praying for you and him every day. I guess what I really need to say is a great big "thank you" to you. I am remembering all the wondertime times we had, with all my heart and soul I love you Mom, and you too Dad, take care and I will see you on the other side....

  My wonderful sister in law, Marian was a REAL LADY!    I deeply loved her unconditionally and had such a profound and deep respect for her -- and she returned that unconditional love and respect to me one hundred-fold!
  Marian was the greatest audience!  When I would start singing or telling jokes at the table, Marian would wink and egg me on.  She never cared how loony I was -- just hearing her giggle and laugh really made my day!
  And, Richard, Marian NEVER wanted for anything because of you!  She was always dressed beautifully, always content and very happy, because of you! "Oh, he's a Keeper" she would tell me with a smile in her voice.
  I am in AWE of how well you took care of Marian, Richard! You jumped in with both feet and NOTHING she ever wanted or needed was too big for you to deliver to her!  
  To say we will miss our beloved Marian is such an understatement.  I know she is preparing a table for all of us and we can count on her to pray for all of us, especially YOU, Richard, and Patty and Tommy.

I know this is a guest book but I wanted to express my thoughts and have them where I can always remind me of my beloved Marian.

In every room of our time together there is a box,
Of memories we shared,
Now is the time to pack away,
With sadness and with care.

The first is a simple smile,
Whenever I thought of you,
Neatly folded into four,
It's the best that I could do.

Next are all the memories,
Of the times when we were two,
Wrapped with love one by one,
Sealed with tears as glue.

And then there are the butterflies,
I had when you were near,
Now in a cage of sadness,
And locked up with a tear.

Next are the times we kissed,
Each one wrapped with a sigh,
Placed next to a rolled up list,
Of all the times I've asked myself why.

Now to pack are the pieces of my heart,
Gathered in a pile,
Each one wrapped up tenderly,
And placed next to a distant smile.

Finally all the shattered wishes,
Placed in softly so no more can break,
Covering them over trying not to cry,
