We have known Teeny Smith for many years, both personally and professionally. She was a very warm and loving person and I enjoyed my many meetings with her. When she felt well I would stop by and share a drink with her once in a while and it was always a great time! She will be greatly missed by us.

As one of Mrs. Smith’s former long time boarders at Foxridge Farms, my favorite memories are seeing her down at the farm on sunny summer days when spending time with my horse. She would be out on her orange Kubota tractor cutting grass on the hill, getting some sun on her shoulders and enjoying the day.
She left this earth on Easter weekend, when Christ is risen. He chose her to rise with him. Rejoice in a well lived and loved life.

MY MOTHER, LORD

This is my mother, Lord
I hold her hand
As once she held my own
So tenderly.

“Under Thy arms, she need not Fear”
These are the words she spoke
To me, of Thee – Each year.

Look on her face, Dear Lord
Her heart is there
Filled with a light beyond my understanding
Her steps were slow, Dear Lord
They were so strong
As once she led my own, so week
And stumbling along.

I give her to your care, O Lord
She loved you so.
You were her Joy, her strength
And comfort thru the shadows,

This is my mother, Lord, and
This is her home
This is her haven, Lord,
Her resting place alone.

Care for her tenderly, Lord.
For she is my mother
I place her hand in thine
With love and understanding.
