Virginia Beach - Otine Baird Tatum, 87, formerly of Richmond, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mrs. Tatum was an avid volunteer and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the adored wife of William Louis Tatum, and the beloved mother of Sue Tatum (Richard) Fidler, Dale Tatum Mercer and William Louis (Susan Middleton) Tatum Jr. She will be forever missed by her grandchildren, Bryan Alan (Michelle) Harvey, Erin Scott Harvey, Tinsley Mercer Mortimer, Dabney Winston Mercer; and her only great-granddaughter, Lyla Maryanna Harvey. A private memorial service will be held June 10 at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. Because she loved children, memorial gifts can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38015.
