Pearl Carolyn Fisher Dozier, 83, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, in the comfort of her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was the baby of 9 siblings, born in Norfolk, VA to the late Jesse and Marian Fisher.
Mrs. Dozier was a Farm Fresh Salad Bar Manager and a Personal Assistant for her late spouse, Roy, at their business at Dozier’s Garage. She was a devoted member of Pungo Church of God.
She had a life-long love for music and dancing as well as fishing, cooking, Nascar racing and spending time with her family and friends. She was a very social and kind person; she always had an open door for family, friends, and even strangers; especially when someone needed a helping hand.
Mrs. Dozier was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 28 years, Roy O. Dozier; daughter Brenda J. Dozier Johnson; son Edward A. Baum; 7 sisters, Jesse Mae Fisher, Evelyn Hastings, Mary Marshall, Irene Jones, Inez (Billie) Ewell, Alberta Roche, and Laura George; brother Tilton L. Daniels, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Daniel Baum and his wife Vivian, and her daughter Carolyn Landers; and brother William Stephen Fisher; 12 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 28 great great grandchildren; 3 great great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Pungo Church of God, 3572 Robinson Rd, Virginia Beach. Burial will follow in Charity UMC Cemetery, 4080 Charity Neck Rd, Virginia Beach.
