The one class I had with Dr. Young has had a lasting impact on my life, and I am sure that was true for many if his students.

Dr Richard Young taught me in so many classes at Tennessee Temple University and Temple Baptist Seminary. I took everything he taught that I could. I left every class with a deeper drive to learn and be closer to our Lord. He always had time for my questions and he never turned me away. His office doors were always open and I will always remember his example and his love for our Lord. He truly is a great loss but his impact lives on in all of us who sat under his teaching.

I wanted to say how much I appreciated Dr. Young when I had him for New Testament Greek at Tennessee Temple. A great teacher and a great friend.

Mrs. Young: I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. Young's passing. You both have had a profound influence on my life and career. I'll be praying for you in the days to come.

I am so sorry to hear of Richard's unexpected passing. He and I attended Baylor together and he always inspired me with his passion and energy. In addition, he always pulled me deeper into the questions we were pursuing. I am a better scholar and, maybe more importantly, person because of Richard's influence.
