

Ronald Hector, 81, went to be with his Lord on August 2, 2015. He was born and raised in Antigua, West Indies. After leaving Antigua, he relocated to New York, making it his home. There he worked for the Williams Club before relocating to Virginia, In Virginia he worked at the CPO Club at Norfolk Naval Station and later at K&W Cafeteria, where he retired. Mr. Hector attended Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church while in Virginia. He loved watching baseball and wrestling; he loved traveling to Antigua and England. Most people remember him as an avid walker.
Mr. Hector was a dedicated, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is predeceased by his wife, Leila; and he leaves to cherish his precious memory five children, Mitcheline Hector, Sandra Belcher and husband, Etiene, Ronald Hector, Jr. and wife Priscilla, Sherrie Parrish, and Lynn Hector; grandchildren, Marcus Lee, Wayne Parrish, Afiya Hector, Akesha Hector, Ronald D. Hector, III, Crandon J. Hector, Inka Webster, Aschielle Webster, Christina Parrish, Sierra Belcher, Erika Belcher; great-grandchildren, Alijah Hurdle, Genesis Webster, Marquis Lee, Amari Lee, Aleigha Johnson, Ashineka Webster; siblings, Arnold Hector, Olive Glasgow, John Hector, Lillian Nevins and Carolie Hector ; a dear and loving friend, Elaine “Petty” Simon; and a host of relatives and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2201 Wingfield Ave., Chesapeake, VA 23324.
