Mrs. Patterson was born on May 29, 1938 in Asheville, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Vaughty Bass and her husband Dean Patterson.
Mrs. Patterson was a member of Azalea Garden Church of God in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include her son Gregory Dean Patterson; her loving daughter Kimberly Patterson Holt and her husband Ted; six grandsons Brandon Patterson, Jordan Patterson, Logan Patterson, Ryan Holt, Connor Holt and Wesley Holt; a great grandson Nicholas Patterson; and a sister Barbara Keeton.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 3, 10:00a.m. at Azalea Garden Church of God, 1541 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach. Interment will be private at Rosewood Memorial Park.
