
Sharon Ann Stroh, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 82. Born on July 11, 1944, in Elkhart, Indiana, Sharon lived a life marked by dedication to her family, her career, and her community.
After training as a Graduate Nurse, Sharon devoted many years to caring for mothers and newborns as a labor and delivery nurse. Later, she applied her keen attention to detail in forensic accounting for Medicare before serving as office manager for an ophthalmologist in Philadelphia until her retirement in 2011.
Sharon was a woman of many talents and interests. She found great joy in cooking, sewing, knitting, needlepoint, and quilting, often sharing her creations with family and friends. Above all, she cherished taking care of her husband and nurturing her loved ones.
A committed member of her community, Sharon was actively involved in the Women’s Group at First Presbyterian Church and served as President of her neighborhood association, where her leadership and kindness left a lasting impression.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Huber, and her beloved parents, Cleo and Marjorie Smolinski. Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of ten years and lifelong friend, Carl F. Stroh; her children, Mark Huber and Lisa Bird (Scott); her sisters, Dawn Locklear and Kim Williams; and eight cherished grandchildren.
Sharon’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of care and devotion to family and community will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She will remain forever my best friend and the love of my life.
