Uta Gabriele Smith, 71, passed away on June 23, 2018. She was born in Hanau, Germany to the late Johann and Leonie Zehe. She was a wonderful wife and mother who lived a life full of love. Gabriele was predeceased by 2 daughters, Corina and Melissa Smith, a brother, Roland Zehe, and granddog Elvira.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 53 years, Harry "Buddy" Smith and son Nicholas A. Smith both of Virginia Beach; brother Holger Zehe, niece Manuela Zehe and nephew Holger Zehe, Jr all of Hanau, Germany; and granddog Hunter.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the Plaza or Kempsville Fire and Rescue Squad in her name.
