Vicente S. Pernites, 72, passed away peacefully September 6, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Pernites was born September 8, 1939 in Bay Bay Leyte, Philippines. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. Mr. Pernites will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory is: his loving wife of 48 years, Carolina Pernites; two sons, Raul and Adrian Pernites; daughter, Josephine Wandling and husband Joseph; three grandchildren: Joey, Joshua, and Jacob Wandling; and a niece, Ching Refuerzo.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, September 10, 2012 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
