Mr. Maynard was born in Raleigh, NC and resided most of his life in Virginia Beach. He served as president and helped develop and expand the family business, Maynard’s Auto Glass & Upholstery in Norfolk.
Survivors include three children, Randy Maynard and wife, Cindee; Debbie Waldrop and husband, Doug; Dean Forbes and wife, Dorilyn; two sisters, Ann Schoener and Mandy Maynard and brother, Jimmy Maynard; six grandchildren, Daniel Maynard, Page and Evan Johnson, Christian, Jessica and Colby Forbes.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park by Dr. Kelly Burris.
