William "Bill" Charles DeLoatche

William Charles(Bill) DeLoatche passed away on July 28th 2016. He was born in Portsmouth, Va and is predeceased by his parents Charles and Jean DeLoatche and by his sister Cynthia. Bill was educated at VaTech and ODU and was an avid fan of both sports programs. Bill owned his own medical management firm for 25 years and retired as an associate at Cherry Beckart LLP. He was a longtime member of St. Peters church where he served as past Jr. and Sr. Warden and as Treasurer. Bill was a strong man with a fierce love of family He enjoyed socializing in any setting, never meeting a stranger. He loved traveling, the Redskins, singing classic rock, downing a good pizza and a robust political discussion. He was committed to his wife of 50 years and the love they shared. He is survived by his wife Lois, sons Chuck(Elizabeth) and Jonathan(Stephanie) and grandchildren Charlie, Cole, Lauren, Zachary and Tyler.

A visitation will be from 7-9pm, Monday, August 1, 2016 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service at 7pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 224 S. Military Hwy, Norfolk, VA 23502. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA and/or Kempsville Rescue Squad.
