William L. Kemp, 78, went to be with the Lord April 21, 2010. Mr. Kemp was an active member of Kempsville Baptist. He retired from Nations Bank in 1991. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Diane C. Kemp, and one brother, Elton Kemp, and two daughters, Terry Komornik and husband, Ron Komornik, and Peggy Beaton, and one son, William L. Kemp, Jr. and wife, Karen Kemp, and seven grandchildren, Stacey and Ryan Beaton, Dana and James Komornik, Jose, Melanie, and Brandon Kemp. The immediate family would like to express sincere gratitude to family, friends, and the Sentara Hospice team for their outstanding care and support. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Smith and Williams, Kempsville Chapel. A Burial Service will be held Friday at Rosewood Memorial at 11:00 a.m. A Memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm at Kempsville Baptist Church.
