William Earl Witcher, Sr., 79, passed away on October 23, 2012. He lived in Norfolk his entire life, working in the concrete business for 20 years and was an entrepreneur, owning several restaurants/lounges in the area. He was a long-time member of a Moose Lodge and Saints & Sinners of Tidewater. He is predeceased by his parents; sisters, Exie, Mildred and Delores; brothers, Allen, Jr. and Dudley; and grandson, Kevin Humphries.
Mr. Witcher is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Bette; daughters, Vickie Humphries, Cindy Harrison and husband, Ernie; son, William Earl Witcher, Jr. and wife, Christy; brothers, John and Frank Witcher; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
