Zane Bell Basnight

She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Glenell Bell.

As a young wife Zane was a Homemaker, where she raised three children. As her family multiplied, her home was open to all and was where many found comfort. Later in life she retired from Cross Country Team Truck Driving with her husband of 61 years Jim Basnight.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Basnight.

Left to cherish her memory are children, James Basnight II and his spouse, Jordan, Joann Brown and her husband, Jerry, and Jean Basnight; her grandchildren, Jessica and her husband, John, Jaymes and his wife, Megan, Catherine and her husband, Robert, Shiloh and his wife, Arden, Kyle and Kali; her great-grandchildren, Makayla, Mia, Hunter, Robbie, Cole, Kamryn, Hannah, Shiloh, Braxton and Holden; her niece, Yvonne Grimm and her brother Jesse C. Bell.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach.

A Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park.
