Alice Dresser Gendron passed away peacefully at the home of her sister on 11-10-13 at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with cancer. She grew up in the Visalia area, attending Elbow School and graduating from Redwood High School.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Zoa Dresser, her sister Catherine Burnett, and two nieces Melinda Bell Wasney and Dawn Briggs Ortiz. She is survived by her brother Steve Dresser of Visalia, CA, her sisters Barbara Bell of Paradise, CA and Karen Briggs of Visalia, CA. She will be greatly missed by her nieces Charlene Briggs-Sanchez, Mary Shahan Onstott, Denise Bell, and nephews Scott Jordan, Michael Bell and Dan Bell. She was also very special to her great-nieces Caitlyn and Jessica Sanchez, Dylan Onstott and her great-nephew Joshua Onstott. Jessica and Caitlyn are going to miss the tradition of stopping at Wimpy's for french fries with Aunt Alice before heading back to San Diego.
Also left to mourn her passing are her many friends and co-workers at Lowe's in Visalia, CA where she worked for 10 years.
Those who knew Alice will remember her love for Country Music and the many concerts she attended, especially Trace Adkins and George Strait. We all know of her love for the cats, especially the Big Cats at Project Survival Cat Haven in Dunlap, CA.
In keeping with Alice's unique personality, dress will be VERY casual (jeans and tee-shirts, please)
If you wish, you may make a donation in Alice's name to: Project Survival Cat Haven, 38257 E. Kings Canyon Rd., Dunlap, CA 93621.
