Alice Ann Lyons (Waclawek), 92, died Monday, May 13, 2024 in Visalia, Ca. She was born on July 12, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, to Tomasz and Anna Waclawek. At a young age she chose to enter the convent. After her time in the convent she made her way to California, where she met and married Richard Lyons on August 18, 1962 at St. Mary’s in Visalia. They made their family home in Visalia, Ca where Alice was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and helped her husband Richard with the family farm.
Alice was proceeded in death by her husband Richard Lyons; parents Tomasz and Anna Waclawek; siblings Helen Sypniewski, Estelle Hynes, Walter Waclawek, Irene (late John) Lingow, Ray (late Mary) Waclawek, Edward Waclawek, Ann (George) Ruckrich, Thomas Waclawek and Marian (late Ronald) Manka.
Alice is survived by her son William (Deborah) Lyons; her daughter Lisa (David) Cardoza; her daughter Susan (Kenneth) Mariboho. Five grandchildren Megan (Gregory) Rice, Richard (Cheyenne) Cardoza, Korey Mariboho, Karlie Mariboho, and Karson Mariboho. Four great-grandchildren Charlie and Walker Rice; Westin and Maverik Cardoza.
Alice will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation for Alice will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291 with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 608 North Church Street, Visalia, CA 93291 followed by Interment at 12:00 Noon at Visalia Public Cemetery District, 1300 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291.
