Armie Nilda Baliola Tolentino was born on November 15, 1953 in Urdaneta Pangasinan, Philippines. She studied college at Manuel L. Quezon University and received her B.S in Accounting. Armie then immigrated to America in 1982, where she resided in Delano, CA and became a part of the accounting department of Proteus Inc. in 1986. Two years later, on September 25, 1988, Armie married her husband, Henry Tolentino and they began their life together in Visalia, California. While taking care of her family, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and became Proteus Inc.’s Corporate Financial Director; a career that she held onto until her passing.
Not only did Armie dedicate herself in her work, but she also played an integral role in leading her team and the employees under her care. Her coworkers describe her as a professional, determined, hardworking leader who never failed to teach and care for her teammates, even outside of the workplace.
When it comes to family, Armie was the oldest of all of her siblings and cousins; she was a provider, and single handedly helped all of them move from the Philippines to America. She was also the “ninang” for many of the married brethren in the church; taking care of them and their children as if they were her own.
Most importantly, Armie was also heavily involved with her duties in the Church of Christ. She was the Local of Orosi’s first Children’s Worship Service teacher, the Local Chronicler, a member of the finance organization, along with being a deaconess. She often spearheaded local activities; delegating and putting together the pieces to help the local congregation of Orosi reach different successes.
Armie has touched countless lives, and when individuals are tracing their paths and finding the root of their accomplishments, she is often found at the source.
To cherish her memory, she is survived by her Husband, Henry Tolentino, and her children Diether and Avie Gail Baliola; sister, Marilou Pagurigian, and her brothers, Eduardo and Dominador Baliola Jr., along with many friends and family. Armie was a generous, admirable individual who leaves behind a legacy that will truly never be forgotten.
