Grandma It's me Vennisa... I think about you everyday.  I miss the wonderful lady you were...your smile, your voice, your laughter!  I know you are not suffering...You are in heaven with the angels and Jesus and the virgin mother.  Heaven must be incredible.

To the family of Carmen Velasquez. I was fortunate to cross paths with Carmen through my dear friend Vennisa. Together we spent lots of time at Carmen's house whether it be just to say hi, or pop in and bring food & eat, or work in the back yard or plant beautiful flowers in the front yard. Carmen always went out of her way to   welcome and make me feel at home. She always greeted me with a smile and hug. She made me feel like I've always known her. 'That feeling' she gave me will always be special to me. Carmen was a very special human being with an enormous heart.

I was lucky to have been blessed to have Carmen as apart of my life. She may not have been family by blood but she was a mother when I didnt have one. She raised me during my late teenage years and helped me transition into adult hood.  Who knows how my life would have been different if I didn't have her during such an important time in my life. My dearest Carmen, may be you rest in peace. Also, a special thank you to the rest of the family for sharing such an amazing person with me, May peace be with you.

I was sorry to hear of Carmen's passing.  I worked with her at the senior center for many years.  She was a wonderful person and well loved by those she had contact with.

Carmen always made me smile when I was around her. she was a true blessing to this world.

Ms. V like I loved to call her was the sweetest loving lady. She would take me and my best friend Christina to school everyday. She would greet me with a warm smile and  her amazing oatmeal cookies. My deepest sympathy to all her loved ones. My prayers our with you.

I grew up 2 doors down from Carmen and loved to go visit. She was a very nice lady to my entire family. She will be missed dearly. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
