Charles "Charlie" Leonard Latham II

He was born to Charles L. Latham, I and Agnes Mae Latham on August 8, 1928 in Watsonville, California. Charlie was the eldest of three children having a brother, Earl and a sister, Alice. He was raised and educated in California. In 1945, Charlie moved to Tulare and graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1946 and went on to graduate from Visalia Junior College (now College of Sequoias) in 1948, with an Associate of Arts Degree. In 1949, he married Peggy Joyce Jorgensen of Tulare. In 1950, the couple moved to Visalia to make their home. He was a tester and lab manager for the Tulare Dairy Herd Improvement Association for over 40 years. Charlie loved talking about and being a part of the dairy industry. He also enjoyed following sports: basketball, football, baseball and boxing.

Charlie is survived by his son, Charles “Chuck” Latham, III of Visalia; two daughters, Linda J. Roullard and Lisa J. Latham, both of Visalia; a brother, Earl R. Latham of Albion; a sister, Alice Frazell of Albion and two grandsons, James Roullard and Geoff Roullard.

Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 6 - 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at North Tulare Cemetery, 4572 North J Street in Tulare.
