Constance Marie Minyard

Constance Marie (Brazil) Minyard, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in Visalia, California from breast cancer. Connie was born in Visalia, California on September 14, 1953, to Norman and Geneva (Fernandes) Brazil.

In 1957 the family moved from Tipton, CA to northwest of Goshen, CA to live alongside her grandparents, Manuel and Helen (Kame) Brazil. Connie lived most of her life on this property and at the time of her death she was living in her grandparent’s home, that her grandfather built in 1921.

Connie attended Goshen Elementary School, graduated from Redwood High School in 1971, attended College of the Sequoias, Fresno City College, and Golden State Business College, where she majored in Accounting and Data Processing.

Proceeding her in death are Connie’s grandparents, Manuel and Helen (Kame) Brazil of Goshen, Francisco and Geneva (Rocha) Fernandes of Tulare, her parents Norman and Geneva (Fernandes) Brazil of Goshen. Connie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gary Minyard of Goshen, her two daughters, Amanda Marie Taylor (Tracy Ferreira) of Visalia, and Kayla Minyard of Los Osos. Grandchildren, Melody Andersen-Smith of Visalia, Layla Andersen-Smith of Fresno, Maycie and Seth Taylor of Visalia, and Sadie Ferreira of Visalia.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Sequoia Regional Cancer Center, the nurses, and staff at Kaweah Infusion Center, and Winfred from Kaweah Home Health for all the care and support over the years.

Per Connie’s request, only a small graveside burial service will be held.
