Dear Stokes Family:  All those many years ago, our families lived next door to one another on Noble Street.  Back in those days we had party line phone service.  I was a teen ager then and of course on the phone a lot.  You could hear when someone wanted the line, as they picked up the phone waiting for a clear line.  Well as a teen ager, I kept on talking and then that lovely soft voice that your mom had, she would say, Joanna will you please hang up I need to make a call.  Our families were very close.  I would babysit for some of you on occassions. My sister was much younger than I was and spent times with you as well.  Our parents were very good friends and ofter did things for one another.  We had a collie at that time.  Mom had baked a beautiful cake for the church.  When we got up the next morning only to find that the dog had eaten the middle of the cake.  Bonnie, came to mom's rescue and baked another one while we were at church. The Stokes and the Arenas had some wonderful times together.  We have never forgotten those wonderful days in our youth.  We send love and hugs to all of you.  We also have lost both of our parents and know only to well what that feels like.  We wanted to share just a little bit of humor and love to you all.
