David Subia Ruiz, also known to many as Spike, 56, passed away on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. David was born on March 17, 1970, in Mesa, Arizona, to Stella and David Ruiz.
David left behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. A true jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than a master of one, David was known for his ability to fix, build, and accomplish just about anything he set his mind to. More importantly, he will be remembered for the size of his heart. His generosity, compassion, and willingness to help others touched everyone who knew him.
For 40 wonderful years, David shared a life filled with love and memories with his beloved wife, Sabreena. Together, they built a strong and loving family that was the center of his world.
David is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Sabreena Ruiz; his children, Anthony Ruiz, Bobby Ruiz, David Ruiz, and Patricia Ruiz; and his two beautiful grandchildren, Annelle Ruiz and Baby Bobby Ruiz. Becoming a grandfather was one of David's greatest joys. He adored and cherished Annelle and Baby Bobby, and every moment spent with them brought him immense happiness and pride.
Whether lending a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed him, David lived with humility, strength, and love. His family will forever remember his steady presence, his hardworking spirit, and the unconditional love he gave so freely.
Though he is no longer with us, David's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
