Diana’s transition was preceded by her parents and her sister, Sharon Wahl.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years, Gerald (Gerry) Smeltzer of Visalia, and her son, Timothy Smeltzer of New Jersey. Her goddaughters, Shari Doty of Washington, Misty Shelton and Amanda Goleman of Visalia.
Diana’s family moved to Visalia when she was very young. She attended schools in Visalia and graduated from Redwood High School in 1964.
Diana was a loving, caring, giving, kind and friendly person who never met a stranger. She had a great zest for life. Her favorite song was Frank Sinatra’s “ I Did It My Way” and she did.
She loved animals and was a generous supporter of the SPCA. She was also a supporter of many charities including St. Judes, Wounded Warriors and Toys for Tots, to mention a few.
Diana was bigger than life in her own little way and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. We will notify all of the date, time and place.
Thanks for the memories Diana. Love ya.
Best friends always and forever,
Joan
