

Dolores I. Davis passed away peacefully on March 17, 2012 in Visalia, CA. She was born on January 4, 1926 to Joseph and Lenore Veliz in San Francisco, CA. She married Carl Pierre Ithurralde during WWI, and settled in Tracy, CA, then made the move to Southern CA in 1957. Dolores worked in retail clothing for many years. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved singing, dancing, and listening to her music. Mom loved living close to the ocean. She and her husband Robert Davis belonged to the Seal BeachYacht Club. They enjoyed boating with friends and traveling to their little house in Puertocitos, B.C. Mom and her closest girlfriends traveled to Europe and around the States often. Always looking at the bright side of life is what kept her young-hearted and a joy to be around.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lenore Veliz, her first husband Carl Pierre Ithurralde, and husband Robert Davis. She is survived by her brothers Robert Veliz of Caliente, Nevada, and Michael Veliz and wife Bobera, of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters Sharon Ithurralde of Visalia, Jerry Ithurralde of Long Beach, and.Antonia Ithurralde-Fernandez and husband Simon Fernandez of Long Beach; granddaughters Nichole and husband Michael Downes of Manhattan Beach, CA, Erika and husband Bill Moore of Visalia, CA, and Jessica and husband Jeff Cislini of Half Moon Bay, CA.; grandchildren who she adored greatly- Davis, Lucy, Polly, Fern, Ruby, and Avery; also numerous nieces and nephews – Lisa, Cody, Kristen, Joshua, Robert Jr., Susan and Linda.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Casa Grande where she lived the past 4 ½ years, and also to the caring staff at Linwood Meadows where she was in comfort care. A small celebration of life gathering for family and close friends will be held in Long Beach, CA.
