Dolores Madrid

Dolores grew up in New Mexico and California. Eventually, after living in different cities through the years, she moved to Tulare, where she settled and lived until she went home to be with the Lord.

She was married to Jose Hernandez Espinoza and together they had ten children; Carmen Madrid, Carol Gutierrez, Joseph Espinoza, Gloria Espinoza, Rita Espinoza, Norma Espinoza, Robert Espinoza, David Espinoza, Tommy Espinoza, and Reuben Espinoza.

In her earlier days she loved; crocheting and dancing, making tortillas and lots of food. She loved to feed her family and friends. She loved blessing anyone and everyone with anything and everything she had without hesitation.

Dolores achieved her GED, a certification in teaching, and then became a certified nursing assistant. She was always there for others.

For many years she enjoyed her little fur companion as we knew her as Pearla. Until that little dog went to doggie heaven. We tried to get Dolores another dog, but she would not have anything to do with another pet.

The past several years she enjoyed reading her bible, going to church, taking walks to the store, and riding the bus to wherever she chose to go. She would grab her walker and purse and she was gone on her daily journeys…..

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; Rafael Madrid and Carmen Quiroz, her siblings; Vera, Pauline, Rosemary, Raymond, Rafael, Precy, and Patrick. Also her children; Carmen, Angel, Rita, Robert, David, and Tommy.

She is survived by; her sister Julia, her children; Carol, Gloria, Norma, and Reuben. Also by her 31 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren. Dolores will be truly missed by all who loved her.

A funeral service for Dolores will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 West Goshen Ave, Visalia, CA 93291. A graveside service will occur Friday, August 11, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at North Tulare Cemetery, 4572 J St, Tulare, CA 93274. A reception will occur Friday, August 11, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel-Brooks Hall, 1120 W. Goshen Ave, Visalia, CA 93291.

Serving as pallbearers are David Espinoza, Jessie Ceja, Michael Richards, Nick Gutierrez, John Cavazos, Matthew Leal, Reuben (Gordy) Espinoza and Daniel Salcedo.
