Donald "Don" Edwards

Donald Wayne Edwards, 75 of Visalia, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Don was born on September 28, 1946 to John and Beulah Edwards in Visalia, California where he continued to reside and raise his family.

Don graduated from Mt Whitney High School in 1964 and went on to attend Cal Poly to study horticulture and agricultural business. After leaving school, Don worked for many years helping run the family business alongside his father and brother’s as a co-owner of Edwards’ Nursery. Don was an active member of the California Association of Nurserymen, holding various positions on the board of directors throughout the years. He and his wife Jennifer spent many hours volunteering in various community projects and activities and always made time to attend his children’s sporting events, concerts and recitals.

Don is survived by his four children, Donald (Amy) Edwards Jr, Samantha (George) Hine, Candice (George) Weaver, Joseph (Stephanie) Edwards; thirteen grandchildren, Marybeth Edwards, John Edwards, Emma (Clayton) Smith, George Hine, Andrew Hine, Austin (Samantha) Hine, Jackson Hine, Tyler Weaver, Hannah Weaver, Audrey Weaver, Fern Jeffreys, Rory Jeffreys & Lillian Kong as well as nine great grandchildren; cousins, nieces & nephews. Don was preceded in death by his wife Jennifer, his parents and both brothers.
