She was born March 9, 1944, in Mounds, Oklahoma, to Arnold and Bessie Brooks. She moved to California in the late 1940s, and married Arthur Jerald Klug, III in 1961. Together, they lived all over California until settling in Tulare County in 1976, and finally Visalia in 1984.
Dorothy was an avid gardener whose interests included sewing, reading, and spending time with her family. She was employed by Voltage Multipliers, Inc. for 25 years, until she suffered a stroke in 2010. She was a 'Mom' to many of her co-workers and always had a joke or stick of gum handy to cheer people up.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Alfred Brooks; and her husband, Arthur Klug.
She is survived by her children-- Angie Mayberry, Jerry Klug, and Jenny Klug; five grandchildren-- Melanie Mayberry, Jake Mayberry, Katelynn Klug, James Klug, and Jarod Mayberry; her three sisters and two brothers.
A tremendous loss is felt by those who have known and loved her. Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, from 4-6pm, and services on Monday, November 19, at 12pm: both at Miller Memorial Chapel.
