I knew Dorothy for many years when she worked at VMI. She always had an interesting story to share about growing up, or about raising her kids. Sometimes she would share her latest quilting project for one of her grandkids. She was such a joy, and so talented. I will miss her.

I didn't know Dorothy but I work with her daughter, Jenny, and special, wonderful, beautiful daughters like Jenny don't just happen by luck or chance, so although I've never met Dorothy, I know so much of what we love about Jenny came from her. Dorothy is gone but part of her lives in Jenny, and continues to make the place we all live a better world.
