Earl served in the army at the end of World War II, after he was discharged he settled in Visalia and worked as a lather until he retired and moved to Badger to cut wood and operate his dozers.
He loved the mountains, hunting fishing, cutting wood, making roads with his catepiller, and his "Whiskey Friday's" having lunch with his good friends and telling stories.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife Dortha Tarbell, his daughers Earlaine and Adriane Tarbell, he is survived by his son Danny Tarbell(Pat), Step-Son Ron Pierson (Marie), Step-Daughter Gerri Fernandes (August), Grandsons, Eddie Tarbell, Keith Tarbell, Kevin Tarbell, Frank Hunter, Tim Gentry, Shawn Pierson, Granddaughers, Sara Hulsey, Angela Boyett, Melissa Lopes and numerous Great Grandchildren. Sisters Mary Jane Reames, Billie Marie Gomes (Lawrence), Bettie Lou Gomes(Sonney) and Darlene White.
