Edward was born in Exeter, California on June 13, 1950 to Jessie Z. Martinez and Margaret Sophie Sanchez Martinez. He was raised and educated in Farmersville and Exeter, California, graduating with the Class of 68 from Exeter Union High School. Edward was of Catholic faith. He was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders, Los Angeles Lakers and San Francisco Giants. He also enjoyed watching wrestling. Edward especially enjoyed times spent with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters Evelyn Valle and husband Apoliano of Wilminton, CA, Linda Gutierrez of Visalia, CA and Ruth Tobias and husband Jesse of Farmersville, CA and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
