She was born on May 25, 1935, in Guadalajara, Mexico; daughter to the late Pedro Ayala and Martha Casillas.
Evangelina was a devoted member of the Ambassadors for Christ Church and homemaker.
She was a wonderful combination of warmth and kindness, laughter and a huge amount of love. She was an inspiration to all, with her bravery and heart of gold. She was known as “Nana” to everyone’s heart she touched. She enjoyed helping others, volunteering at her church and spending time with friends and family.
Evangelina was preceded in death by her parents; Pedro and Martha Ayala, son; Alex Gerardo and daughter; Blanca Florez.
Evangelina leaves to cherish her memory; a loving husband, Alejandro Rivera Gerardo; four daughters; Raquel & Rolando Trevino, Maria Elena Nino, Tia & David Salazar, Victoria Gerardo, son; Enrique and Adriana Gerardo; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 1-2p.m. with services beginning at 2p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W Goshen Ave in Visalia, CA.
