Evelyn Lois Carl

Evelyn Lois Carl was born in Brawley, CA to the parents of Herman (from Oklahoma) and Beulah (from Texas) Howland and she passed away in Visalia , CA on February 9, 2012 at the age of 80. She attended Calipatria High School and Nursing School in San Diego.

The couple was married June, 1954 in Yuma, AZ and moved to Tulare fifty one years ago. The family enjoyed a very special 50th Wedding Anniversary put on by their children at the Lamp Liter Inn. Lois was employed by the Tulare County Court System, Tulare Advanced Register and Jostens.

Lois was a strong-spirited woman, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. When the boys were young, the neighborhood was a place of action with her six boys. She was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed time in the church. She loved to travel to the coast and breathe in the ocean air. Bob and Lois enjoyed a special breakfast each visit with Jeff and Marla at the Sculptured Egg! Lois had a green thumb for violets, was an excellent cook and loved to share that love with all her family and friends. Lois fought hard but God needed another angel. We will miss you!

Lois is survived by: Husband Robert (Bob) Carl, Children: Mitch Carl, Chris(Anna) Carl, Jeff (Sandy) Carl, Craig(Danella) Carl, David (Deanna) Carl, Brother: Carl (Sonny) Howland, Sister: Jean Thompson, Grandchildren: Barrett, Kimberly, Alicia, Jessica, Tristan, Mikella, Mckenzie, Madison, Brittney, John, Brian, Carrie, Great-grandchildren: Logan, Kaydence, and Daughter-in-law: Sandy Carl. She was preceded in death by Son: Tony Carl and Brother: Bill Howland.

A Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, February 15th , 2012 at 5:30pm at St. Aloysius in Tulare. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 16th at 10:30am at St. Aloysius. In lieu of flowers please donate to you favorite charity.
