George Alvin Clemmons

George Clemmons was born on April 2nd, 1938 to Jessie and Willie Lee Clemmons in Sentinel, Oklahoma. He received his education in the public schools of Sentinel, Oklahoma, and Pixley, California, and graduated from Delano High School in Delano, California.

George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 years from 1960 - 1986. His service brought him to many places, including the United Kingdom, where he met his beloved wife, Virginia Clemmons, with whom he celebrated decades of holy matrimony. Together, they lovingly raised their children, Nicole Clemmons and Paul Clemmons. He would go on to serve an additional 12 years as a Budget Analyst at McLean Airforce Base in Sacramento, California. After his military service, he dedicated his spirit of service to his family, founding the Clemons Clemmons Family Reunion alongside his dear sister, Annie Bell Smith. He served as President of the reunion committee for many years.

George enjoyed dancing, taking road trips, and, above all else, spending quality time with his large family—a love he nurtured across generations and instilled in his children. George returned to his eternal home in glory, on August 19th, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia Clemmons; and his siblings: Tillman, Ruby Lewis, Beatrice Ross, James Thomas, Arthur Lee, Mary Lee Newsome, Cleo, Jessie, James Blake, Abraham, Calvin, Annie Bell Smith, Evangelist Doris Stinson Powell, Sue Veasley and Delmar.

He leaves to cherish his memory two children: Nicole Clemmons and Paul Clemmons; five grandchildren; Michael Willis, Tracy Allen, Alan Allen, Elijah Clemmons, Bianca Inness and three great-grandchildren; Jair Reign Willis, Xyla Nicole Willis, Ace Daniel Allen. He is also survived by his siblings, Douglas Clemmons, and Barbara Trigueros, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends in Pixley, California and the San Francisco Bay Area.
