Gregorio Ramos Jasso

Gregorio was born on September 9, 1921 in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Justo and Gregoria Jasso. On January 21, 1950 he married Consuelo Serrato in Mexico. Gregorio came to California to work as a Farm Laborer and provide for his family. In 1956 he was blessed to bring his wife and children with him, settling in Earlimart, California. Consuelo preceded him in death on January 13, 1995. As a young man, Gregorio enjoyed taming wild horses in Mexico. In his later years, he enjoyed reading his bible and playing the harmonica. You could hear Gregorio whistling, anywhere he was. He was the oldest of seven children, five siblings have preceded him in death.

Gregorio leaves to cherish his memory, nine children, Barbara Garcia and husband, Peter of Visalia, Gregoria Jasso of Visalia, Justo Jasso, Jr. and wife, Manuela of Strathmore, CA, Sandra Jasso of Visalia, Gregorio Jasso, Jr. and wife, Norma) of Delano, CA, Samuel Jasso and wife Jennifer of Visalia, Sonya Jasso of Fresno, CA, Elias Jasso and wife Terry of Porterville, CA and Ruth Jasso of Santa Cruz, CA; two sisters, Andrea Jasso and Eva Jasso, both of Mexico; 26 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with funeral services following at 9 a.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, California. Burial will be at the Visalia District Cemetery.
