October 1, 2017, 30 days after the passing of his beloved wife Clara. He was born to Hugh & Mae Ola Percy in Tulsa, Oklahoma the fifth of six children. Jack married
Clara on August 13, 1942 in Coweta, Oklahoma and the couple just celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Jack enlisted in the Army in 1943 where he was sent to Germany and proudly served in World War II. He was honorably discharged in December 1945. He then went home to Oklahoma to meet his infant daughter Jackie for the first time. Wanting a better life for his family they relocated to California where they welcomed their second daughter Vickie. Jack worked at Brott's Plumbing as a journeyman plumber and retired from there in 1970. He then went to work for the Farmersville School District as the head of maintenance and retired again in 1977. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing where all of his catch would result in a big family fish fry. He also enjoyed golfing, working in his garden and visiting the local casinos. All the hard work he put into his garden resulted in his famous homegrown tomatoes that he lovingly shared with his family, friends and neighbors.
"Dad, thank you for all your love and support. We will be forever grateful for the time we had with you and will keep you in our hearts forever."
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Clara and his grandson Greg Doss. He is survived by daughters Jackie (Tom) Doss, Vickie (Mike) Torres, his grandchildren Kristin (Keith) Gilbert, Jenny (Kris) Morgan and Grant Torres and his greatgrandchildren Cole Ralston, Taylor Gilbert and Oliver Morgan.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Linwood Meadows for their compassionate care given to their dad and grandpa. They would also like to thank Optimal Hospice Care, Missy Castro and Bill Davenport.
