James “Alan” Greenlee, 55, of Visalia, California passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Visalia. Alan was born in Bellflower, California on June 22, 1957 to Alphonso and Ruth Greenlee. He was raised and educated in Stockton, Clovis and Visalia, graduating from Mt. Whitney High School in 1975. He entered the United States Navy in 1975, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia and served aboard the USS Nimitz. Following his discharge in 1977, Alan returned to Visalia to make his home. He worked at Earlibest in Exeter and was currently employed by DH Distributing of Fresno. Alan was an avid reader, San Francisco Giant, 49er and Nascar fan and he loved music. His greatest enjoyment was his little daughter, Madeline and spending time with his family. Alan will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Alan was preceded in death by his father, Alphonso in 2007 and his wife Tammy in 2008. Alan leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Madeline Greenlee of Visalia; his mother, Ruth Greenlee of Visalia; his brother, Ron Greenlee and David Greenlee and wife, Danys, all of Visalia; his sister Pam Greenlee-Simmons and husband, Sonny of Farmersville; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Worship Center, 3890 S. Lovers Lane in Visalia, CA. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Madeline Greenlee Fund at EECU. Tributes and condolences may be made at www.millerchapel.com. Arrangements entrusted to Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Alan, I did;nt know the man you became but remember when you and your brothers and sister when you were younger.we all had some good times together back then when our families were together. From all that I have heard from family, you became a great man and a wonderful father,dont get any better than that.Rest peacefully now Allen.You will be misse.Aunt Helen

My Brother my brother. I loved you so much. Although I told you often it seems it wasn't enough. You were a good big brother. You were a fun person. Just looking through old photo's is cracking me up. I will always remember you with a smile because we laughed so much together.........I hope yours was an "E" ticket ride! I love you man.

Well, here is something I never thought I would be doing...signing your memorial guestbook. I will cherish the memories of growing up with you, the dumb things you did and the way you always made me laugh. I love you Alan, my nephew/little brother pest! I know you are in a great place in Heaven with Jesus, Tammy and the rest of our family that have gone before you. I will see you all again some day.
