

Jennifer Ann Edwards, 62 of Visalia, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Visalia on February 8, 1950 to Sam & Ruby Davis. Jennifer is survived by her husband Donald of Visalia; daughters, Samantha Hine and her husband George of Clovis, Candice Weaver and her husband George of Visalia; sons, Joseph Edwards and his companion Stephanie Lincicum of Visalia, Don Edwards Jr and his wife Amy of Florida, Alfredo Cardwood and his wife Nancy of Clovis, Dewayne "J.R." Coleman and Deidre of Fresno; 17 grandchildren; sister Kathy Jones of Idaho; aunt, Mrs AP Wiswell of Seattle, Wa; cousin, James Wright and his wife Paula of Arizona; numerous other cousins, nieces & nephews.
Throughout the years Jennifer was involved in many family and community activities. She attended every sporting event for each of her children, cowbell in hand. Everyone knew when “Mrs. Edwards” was around. She didn't miss a recital, band review or performance. Jennifer volunteered and held various positions on the PTA, Redwood football boosters, Redwood band boosters, and Visalia National Little League. She was also a member of the La Leche League. She worked for Visalia Emergency Aid Council for 10 years and continued to volunteer for a number of years after retiring. Recently, Jennifer reopened Searcy’s Café & Bar that her grandmother Edith opened 65 years ago.
Jennifer didn't know a stranger. She was a friend or second "mom" to everyone she met. She was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
