

Joyce was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on October 5, 1944, to Charles Edward Adams and Minnie Evalyn (Rayson) Adams.
At the age of two she and her mother moved to Woodlake, California, and at the age of eight, she was adopted by her stepfather Omar Davidson.
She attended Woodlake High School playing on the girls’ basketball team and was a majorette. She was active in Rainbow Girls, ballet, tap, jazz, competitive roller skating, and pair dancing.
She attended the nursing program at COS and worked at Visalia Community Hospital and Tulare District Hospital. She retired from nursing due to a back injury and started a career in interior design at Gibbs and Page Drapery. Joy was a member of the Kaweah Delta Hospital Guild for many years. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Visalia and served as a Deacon.
In 1986, She married the love of her life Reese Grant Goddard III and in February of this year they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her husband, Reese Grant Goddard III of Visalia, her daughter Debra Ann (Justice) O’Neill of Fresno, her son Timothy Ray Justice of Tulare, Grandchildren Tristen Dakota Jones and Caleb Levi Jones. Great-Grandchildren: Natalie, Ayden, Cooper, Savannah, and Penelope Jones.
She was preceded in death by her brother Clint Davidson of Oklahoma and her Granddaughter Andrea Christine Hayes of Visalia.
