Juanita loved growing zinnias every spring. She loved discovering and learning new things and new adventures! For a few years, she was member of the American Business Women Association (ABWA). Her hobbies were floral gardening, cooking for the family and anyone who dropped by. She was an accomplished fisherman and markswoman. Mom enjoyed skeet shooting and target practice, but hunting, not so much! The first-time mom shot a deer, she cried, and never did it again. Her favorite pass time activities included, visiting a new garage sale, a new restaurant, or scratching lotto tickets. Her greatest joy was loving and visiting with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
Her other favorite pass time was loving and spending time with her husband- they loved each other dearly. She was always so proud of all her children’s accomplishments.
Juanita received certificates of appreciation for serving on trial panels for the Visalia Municipal Court of the State of California. For many years, she also served at the voting polls in Visalia.
Juanita had a relationship with Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a woman of prayer. She never met a stranger. She loved people and always had a smile, hug, and encouraging word to give others. She was a member of Visalia Faith Assembly and later Visalia First Assembly where she became the first female usher. She and her husband, Jim, both enjoyed serving as ushers and greeters together for several years.
Juanita “Nita” will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
