Our community lost a great woman on Thursday morning, July 15, 2021 in Visalia, California. Juanita Hansen was born on January 10, 1940 to John Henry and Thelma Marguerite (Williams) Landers in Doña Ana, New Mexico. She loved to travel and could never stay in one spot too long. Juanita enjoyed taking pictures, reading, doing crossword puzzles and studying religion. She spent many years studying religion and proceeded to acquire a degree in it. Juanita married Lee Hansen who preceded her in death a few years ago. She joined her parents, John and Thelma along with her siblings Jt, Jd, Joe Landers, Patsy, and her son, Eugene of Goshen, California.
Juanita leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Leona; six children, Charlotte Maris of Goshen, California, Robin Maris of Exeter, California, John Wayne Boggs of San Diego, California, Donna Infante, Chris Hansen, and Randy Boggs of Redding, California; 23 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. According to Juanita, half of Goshen called her “grandma” and the other half called her “Aunt Penny” whether or not they were related. Juanita was a loving, funny, and a kindhearted woman who opened her home and heart to anyone who needed her. Her legacy lives on in our hearts. Everywhere her beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories she has left behind, “be the things you loved most about the people who are gone.”
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.millerchapel.com for the Hansen family.
