

Kathryn Elizabeth Robinson was born in Iowa on December 29, 1922. As a child, she moved to Woodlake, California where she was to live most of her life. Kathryn attended local schools and graduated from Woodlake Union High School in 1940. Kathryn earned her teaching degree at Fresno State University. She enjoyed teaching at Woodlake Elementary School for many years.
Kathryn enjoyed gardening, and worked hard every day of her life. After she retired, she was very active in her church’s youth ministry. She spent many hours planning and preparing for Sunday School and other children’s activities at Visalia First Presbyterian Church.
She delighted in the birth of her only grandchild, Suzanne, and spent many happy hours as a grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Dale Robinson and is survived by her brother, Dr. Joseph B.E. Downey, daughter Glenda, son Kevin, granddaughter Suzanne and two great grandchildren.
The family thanks the staff at Prestige Expressions for their gracious, loving care of Kathryn during her last years.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Visalia on April 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathryn’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or to Woodlake Union High School Foundation at 400 W. Whitney, Woodlake, CA 93286.
