Visalia, California
Kevin Michael “Kev” Anderson, 61, passed away on March, 21, 2020 in Visalia, CA after his courageous and graceful battle with cancer.
Kevin was born to Burrel and Janet Anderson in Upland, CA on October 14, 1958. He graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1976. Kevin recently retired from Edison International after a very successful 27-year career as a substation operator.
Kevin was the baby boy of the family as he has three older siblings, Cheryl, Dana, and Jay. Kevin spent several summers at shaver lake as a teenager, where he met and eventually married, the love of his life Pamela Suzanne Anderson. They were married for 27 years at the time of his death.
Besides spending time with his family and friends, Kevin had a true passion for hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved to have family game nights (even if most of them might have involved some poker or card playing), he also enjoyed grilling tri-tips and deep frying his turkeys! As many know he also enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows such as I Love Lucy, The 3 Stooges, and of course The Andy Griffith Show. He had an incredible work ethic that he instilled in his daughters from an early age. He taught them what hard work looked like and that nothing in life was free.
During the later years of his life he finally got the Harley that he always dreamed of and spent a lot of time just going for rides and revving that engine so loud for everyone to hear!.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Burrel and Janet Anderson and his sister-in-law, Donna Anderson.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Pamela, his daughter Nicole Anderson (Cory) of San Diego, CA, daughter, Kimberly Forster (Zach) of Kula, HI, sister, Cheryl Avila (Tony) of Visalia, CA, brother, Dana Anderson of Las Vegas, NV, brother, Jay Anderson (Maria) of Visalia, CA, in addition to numerous grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews and of course, his beloved dog, Rooroo.
Kevin was a wonderful father, husband, and friend. He will be greatly missed and will be remembered for the love and support he showed his family and friends and for the incredible strength he showed.
Private family services will be held. Tributes and condolences may be made at www.millerchapel.com.
