“Mae” Homemaker

Lena Mae Anderson of Visalia, California passed away February 10, 2020. She was born in Story, Arkansas on April 18, 1920 to George Bayless and Edna Lee Palmer. Mae had seven sister and brothers. We have been blessed to have had our mother in our lives. Mae had the most beautiful soul. She was just two months shy of being 100 years old. Our mother was the most loving and caring of any person, we know. Her family was her whole life. Mae was a mother to six children, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In her later years, Mae enjoyed bowling, Bunco and her Domino Girls club. She lived with our loving sister Shelley Page and was always surrounded by her family and friends. Her sister Lois was her best friend. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend will be greatly missed by all. Mae is preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Palmer; her husband, Simeon P. Anderson Sr.; her son, Simeon Peter Anderson Jr.; daughter-in-law, Linda S. Anderson and their daughter, Melissa S. Anderson Doyle; her granddaughter, Meagan P. Harden, her siblings, George B. In the time I knew Mae, she was always so kind and welcoming to me. I remember laughing so much whenever she was around and will never forget her smile or hugs. She was a big presence in a little package. What an amazing woman with a beautiful soul. It was a pleasure knowing her and experiencing her love, even for a short time. Thank you Mae for treating me like family. You made a positive impact in the world and will be greatly missed.

Mae will forever be in my heart & memories. She was like a second Mom to me, always so kind and sweet. She protected me when needed, she opened her home and heart to me. Some of my best memories were being in her home. May God continue to bless and keep you close to His heart, I know He has you in His arms and that you are at peace. God speed you to your special place in heaven! I love you Mae....
