My bride was born to George and Lucille Fischer in Woodlake, California on June 22, 1944. She attended George Mc Cann Elementary and Ivanhoe Elementary. She graduated from Redwood High School in 1962.
We were married in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Visalia on July 20, 1963. Our family grew with the addition of two children, Michael and Deberah.
Linda was very artistic, loved drawing landscapes, taking care of our home and gardening.
She also loved animals, so she got a job at Visalia Pet Fair for Herman Mosby. She brought everything home, but a snake. Fresh water fish tanks were one of her specialties. Linda also worked a while at Abe's Pets before returning to Visalia Pet Fair. When she returned, Herman put her picture in the paper announcing , "Linda's Back!".
Linda took several night classes at COS in landscaping. This led her to provide renderings of beautiful landscapes for fellow landscapers. She also drew the blueprints for our beautiful new home. In time arthritis prevented her from continuing her drawing. From then on, she put her artistic talents into our home and her garden.
Linda enjoyed gardening and home until she fell on August 8, 2018 and needed brain surgery and also suffered from dementia. She passed away without a wrinkle on her beautiful face.
She is survived by our son Michael and his wife, Raina, and their two sons Jeremy and Justin of La Verne, CA. They also have their semi-adopted son John Greiner, and his wife, Aundrea, plus their two children, John and Charlotte, with a 3rd on the way. Also, by their daughter Deberah and her husband, Tony Beckett, and their two sons Jarod and Alex of Lonegrove, OK. Linda is also survived by her two siblings, sister, Donna Loffland and husband Charles, and their children, Chuck, Laurie, and Kerry; and Linda's brother Jerry Fischer, and wife Patsy and their daughter, Missy.
Our thanks go the nursing staff at Kaweah Delta South, who cared for her the last two years.
